Does stock market get little erratic or stable post-election results?

Large-scale policy changes can result from the ruling party staying in power post Election results. But equity markets reacted rather negatively on the results day though the indices did recover to an extent.

It has left investors speculating about the potential gain under the new government about future policies and their outcomes.
