Friday, June 28 witnessed the Sensex and Nifty 50 ending with losses. During the session, the indexes hit greater highs, but then fell with conflicting nods.

The Nifty 50 closed at 24,010.60, down 33.90 points (0.14 %), from its session high of 24,174. In a similar vein, the 30-share bundle of Sensex closed at 79,032.73, down 210.45 points (0.27 %), from its high of 79,671.58.

So, there was volatility yet both the Sensex and Nifty were able to close above the investors’ emotional levels of 79k and 24k, respectively. The indication is that sentiment is still very high.

Reliance Industries Ltd. being the only common stock among top 5 stocks in Nifty 50 and in fact the topper in Sensex 30, gaining in both over 2%. It is market favouring from all corners.

  • The view is that do both markets operate similar or differently for major stocks being not showing same trend in both indices.
  • As a common man, whether to buy or sell?
